MOVE IT!

Move it is a FUN, EXCITING sports-based programme designed to give children every opportunity, both formal and informal, to play sport, increase their skills and fall in love with being active and healthy.

Our after-school classes and lunchtime sports offerings are exciting, age appropriate and inclusive activities for children 5 – 8 years and 9 – 13 years of age.

The concept of the ‘Move It’ programme is to help our tutors deliver sport as part of an extension to physical education and club administered sport. The learning activities have integrated the four strands of; â€‹

Personal Health and Physical Education Development 

Movement Concepts and Motor Skills 

Relationships with Others 

Healthy Communities and Environments (as recommended by the Ministry of Education)

Move It classes include:

  • Weekly after school classes aligned with National Sports Organisation frameworks facilitated by passionate, dedicated, and trained tutors.

  • Football, Ripper/Touch, Rugby, Netball, Basketball, Cricket, T-Ball/Softball, Athletics (Run, Jump, Throw), Multi sports (catching, throwing, hitting, running, dodging)

  • Lunchtime and inter-house/class competitions 3 v 3 basketball, non-stop cricket, netball, rippa rugby.
